Project description
A complete revamp of a Wordpress site for the town of Sweden that revised the navigation and menu to include more information, and would not have the generic look of many municipal websites. Copywriting for most pages was provided, along with graphics and photos that aligned with the overall color and theme. It was important to highlight the history of this rural community, while also making general information, municipal policies, ordinances, meeting minutes, and resources for residents easy to find. The end result was a professional looking, responsive website that has an updated look that sets this special community apart, and vastly improved functionality. Systems were set up for residents to sign up for emergency alerts and town mailing lists, a multi-functional calendar, news section, and FAQs section were also added. With a sticky menu, the website works perfectly on mobile devices.

Project description
This was a simple project, and Catherine was a lovely client. Having struggled to build a Wix website on her own and being not-at-all-tech-savvy, Catherine wanted someone who could help her start to market her wedding officiant services. I researched targeted domain names, registered her new domain name, set up web hosting, email, and a Google business listing. Catherine provided both photographs and copy, giving me free reign with design and SEO. With more writing than photos though, the challenge was to keep the look appealing without overwhelming any one page with “too much” text. By use of icons, illustrations, and careful color placement, the end result was a professional looking, responsive website that has the clean, modern look Catherine wanted. With a sticky menu, the website works perfectly on mobile devices.

This start up company focused on employee recruitment for the financial sector was in need of a business identity package. Based in Newport Beach California, we decided to go with a classical, nautical feel for colors and branding, and sourced imagery that tied into the concept. The logo was rendered in several formats for various uses, and a specialized logo created for the CVR blog.

Project description
Hired as an independent contractor, Zynk Designs worked for Zinc Door's parent company Layla Grayce for many years as an "out-of-house" creative director. Zinc Door was developed as an ecommerce website that sold modern and contemporary home furnishings, with a different target customer that Layla Grayce shoppers (and a company name inspired by Zynk Designs). I was responsible for creating the look, branding, and user experience for the new website, blog, marketing materials, and all print ad design, while also giving direction to Layla Grayce/Zinc Door employees. Full page print ads were placed in various home and shelter magazines every two months, and print ready art files supplied to the publications.
The company is no longer in business.

This CPA firm required a logo and business identity package that was modern while not being too "out of the box" for an accounting firm. The use of mixed fonts achieved a sense of push and pull, visually uniting both partner names resulting in a professional, streamlined result. Stationery and business cards were created that carried out the brand identity goals.
