Rebranding for a taekwondo studio that had relocated to Newport Beach, California. Zynk Designs services included a business consultation to strategize how to market the martial arts studio in their new location. The objective was to appeal to parents in this affluent community, emphasizing character development and skills training for their children. A new logo and website gave this business a refresh.
This project presented a unique challenge of integrating two different target customer bases, providing them each with tailored online shopping experiences. Based in Canada, the company sold fashion jewelry, but wanted to create a new market focused on bridal jewelry and accessories. First developing a set of logos and color schemes for the fashion brand, Delilah K, and for Delilah K Bridal, I then designed and programmed a customized shopping website where the framework and architecture of the site appeared different depending on which "mini-site" the shopper was viewing. Logos were utilized across social media channels and on product packaging to unify the brand messaging. Marketing strategy was integral to promoting Delilah K, with editorial look books being created to generate brand awareness, and online banner ad campaigns designed and tracked for ROI. All copywriting and design was created by Zynk Designs for all channels, as well as uploading new products to the online store and online merchandising. A marketing calendar was created to define seasonal objectives and plan for home page updates, blog posts, email newsletters, print ads, and new seasonal look books, with all design work performed by Zynk Designs.

Developed brand identity for Zynk Palette jewelry collection with logo, postcards and business cards, stickers, and packaging design. Jewelry packaging cards feature space on the back to hand write notes on materials and metals used, to convey a bespoke, made-to-order feel.
A professional services firm specializing in accounting, advisory, management consulting, and litigation support and dispute resolution services required a logo and business identity package that conveyed a sense of establishment, tradition, and reliability. Classic colors and fonts were used to achieve this result.
This small regional airport in western Maine needed a refresh for their brand, to highlight a high level of personal service and promote new, upgraded hangar facility for small private planes and corporate jets. The previous logo was reworked to simplify and modernize the design, a two sided business card was created, and IZG stickers printed as give-aways for promotions. The airport logo was modified for printing on tee shirts, as gifts to the Royal Canadian Air Force.
Photographed entire jewelry line in studio and on a model for use in ecommerce website. Color corrected and balanced all images to match. Corrected photography used on postcards and business cards, and resized for online sales site.
Award winning designer Laurie Haefele required a clean, modern brand identity when she launched her Santa Monica firm specializing in upscale kitchen, boutique wardrobe and luxury bath designs. With an established client base that skewed toward traditional and transitional design, Laurie pivoted to add more contemporary designs, and needed a logo that spoke to this market and her background as a trained architect. After an initial consultation, Zynk Designs developed a full business identity package which included a logo, two sided business card, stationery, and a tri-fold brochure. Serving as a business consultant, we also set up email services and accounts for the entire HD staff, designed and programmed the website, scanning and uploading press and magazine articles, and wrote the majority of copy for the website.
This start up company was in need of a business identity package, a website, and some technical assistance. Based in Newport Beach California, we decided to go with a classical, nautical feel for colors and branding, and sourced imagery that tied into the concept. The responsive website was built using WordPress, and incorporated a sophisticated job search/application feature, and a blog to help with SEO. I set up a Google business profile, trained the owners on how to import and manage email and perform basic Wordpress updates, and wrote all copy for the website. The logo was rendered in several formats for various uses, and a specialized logo created for the CVR blog.
Design and layout for a hardcover 164 page book that documents the history and restoration of an old church located in Sweden, Maine, for the primary purpose of marketing the property for short term rental. Branding was created for “The Church” which carried over to exterior signage, information packets, and guest books. The book showcases each owner, with interviews and photos that shed light on the individual contributions. Project included scanning old albums, layout, copywriting, documenting my own renovations, interior design, and photography.
With a business name like this, there's an obvious connection to Zynk Designs. Prior to the start of Covid I created a jewelry line that highlighted my love of natural stones and materials, and my obsession for color. I sold this line at craft shows and online, and the website allowed me to create a fully comprehensive experience, one that showcased product, product information, my writing style and unique business "voice" and sensibility, all with a unified and cohesive vision.
